On Tribal Honeygathering In The Nilgiris In National Geographic Traveller

In mid-2012, I had the amazing experience of accompanying five Irula tribespeople on a honeygathering mission in the Nilgiris, where I watched them harvest combs off a cliff using 2000-year old traditional methods.   1. And whoosh, what an experience to have had. Two things: what was it like, turning ethnographic as you so evidently did? (quite sure it’s not the first time either). And the next time you’re researching a story, I want to be right there with you!
